- 1 package Phyllo dough (thaw for ½ hour before baking)
- 1 pound butter
- 2 cups pecans (or walnuts)
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1 package graham crackers
- ½ cup white sugar (1 ½ cups for simple syrup)
- 1 cup water
- 3 tablespoons honey
Step 1: Set oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2: Mix together pecans, brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, and graham crackers in food processor.
Step 3: Cut Phyllo dough in half to fit in a 9×13” pan.
Step 4: Lay 5 layers of Phyllo dough on the bottom of the pan and sprinkle some of the mixture on top.
Step 5: Lay 2 more layers of dough on top.
Step 6: Cut the dough into squares. Then cut squares in half to create two triangles.
Step 7: Melt the butter in the microwave and remove the foam from the top.
Step 8: Pour the butter on top of the dough.
Step 9: Cook for 45 minutes until golden brown. When there are 15 minutes left, begin making simple syrup.
Step 10: Mix water and sugar in a pan and boil for 10 minutes.
Step 11: Add honey and let boil for 1 more minute.
Step 12: Take dough out of the oven and pour simple syrup on top.
