23 October 2015
Take an All-American staple and make it smaller. These tiny pies are sure to put a smile on your guest’s faces.
Ingredients
- Small Mason jars
- 5″ circular pastry cutter
- 3″ circular pastry cutter
- Pie crust pastry, chilled (homemade or store-bought)
- Homemade or store-bought apple pie filling
Step 1: On a clean counter, roll out pastry dough. Cut out 5-inch circles.
Step 2: Place your crusts into the mason jars and press against the sides. Fill the apple-pie filling into the jars using a spoon.
Step 3: Use your 3” pastry cutter to cut out the tops and place on top of your apple-pie filled jars. Use a fork to pinch the edges to seal the crust. Place the jar lids on top.
Step 4: Bake for 20-25 minutes at 350?. Remove pies from the oven and cool.
