  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 16 ounces canned unsweetened pumpkin
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 2/3 cup water

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2: Butter two 9 x 5-inch loaf pans and dust flour on them.

Step 3: Mix sugar and oil into a bowl. Stir in the eggs and pumpkin.

Step 4: Mix together your dry ingredients in a separate bowl and slowly add to your wet mixture, alternating water as well.

Step 5: Fill you loaf pans and bake for 30-40 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes and then remove from the pans to finish cooling completely.
