St. Patrick’s Day is almost upon us, and what better way to celebrate than with a delicious shamrock shake? Skip the drive through, along with the corn syrup and food coloring, and enjoy a homemade shake with simple ingredients you can actually recognize.
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
Step 1: Place the ice cream, milk, cream, mint, vanilla extract, peppermint extract and ice into a blender.
Step 2: Blend until smooth and frothy. Serve immediately.
For all the adults out there looking to shake things up this St. Patrick’s Day, try adding a shot of crème de menthe to the concoction!
