rob-grantblogRob Grant is the Branch Manager of our Wilmington, Delaware office and he is just as devoted to community service as he is to helping families find the perfect home.

Rob has been coaching youth lacrosse for the Wilmington Lacrosse Association since 2003, and has helped produce five different “Shine A Light On The Queen” concerts for the Light Up The Queen Foundation in Wilmington. This concert is held once a year, and typically raises more than $100,000 annually.  The proceeds are used to fund music education in underserved schools in the Wilmington area. Additionally, Rob has been involved with the Brandywine Red Clay Alliance for the past 10 years, which is the oldest watershed protection organization in the United States. Rob recently completed a term as president of the Brandywine Red Clay Alliance, and currently serves on the Board and Executive Committee as well as the Finance and Long Range Planning Committees.

The Brandywine Red Clay Alliance was formed to unite volunteers, students of all ages and recreation enthusiasts with the goal of improving and preserving the quality and quantity of water as a natural resource for all communities. As president, Rob’s main focus was on watershed improvement and environmental education. His duties included raising awareness through organizing events and fundraisers, as well as donating money and collecting donations for the organization. Two of the largest events held by the Brandywine Red Clay Alliance every year are two outdoor concerts with an average crowd of 1,500 to 2,000 attendees.

When Rob first began volunteering, he thought he was just helping out a friend – now more than 10 years later he has found many rewards as a result of his service. 1st Advantage Mortgage is extremely proud of Rob’s leadership and devotion to his community.
