1amcooks-peach-glazed-pork-chopsSummer is peach season! Not only do peaches make for a great snack or dessert, their sweet flavors also pair well with other common ingredients to make this mouth-watering glaze for grilling meats. This recipe uses fresh peaches but you can also use frozen if you’re looking to save time with preparation (just make sure they’re thawed first!).

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup peaches
  • 1/3 cup sugar (maple sugar may be substituted)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 pork chops
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Step 1: Puree the peaches with the water in a high-powered blender.

Step 2: Place the peaches, water and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat and allow the mixture to reduce, becoming thicker and stickier.

Step 3: Once the glaze reaches a consistency that you like, take it off the heat and mix in the balsamic vinegar.

Step 4: Brush the glaze over the pork chops and then season with salt and pepper.

Step 5: Grill or bake until they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F.

This recipe is best served with grilled asparagus or Brussels sprouts. Use the hashtag #1AMcooks to share your dishes and let us know other recipes you would like to try.
