how-to-diy-green-tea-body-scrubbersWe could all use a little more antioxidants in our lives, and these homemade green tea body scrubbers are the perfect way to deliver them! Packed full of natural ingredients and essential oils, these body scrubbers will add moisture back into your skin and leave it glowing — a much-needed task after spending your days in the summer sun!

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 10-15 drops jojoba oil
  • 10-15 drops hemp seed oil
  • 1 cup coconut oil, melted or softened
  • 1 tablespoon green tea powder (less if you have extremely fair skin)
  • 10 drops lavender essential oil, optional

Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar and green tea and mix evenly.

Step 2: In a separate bowl, combine the jojoba and hemp seed oils with the softened coconut oil. Once evenly mixed, combine with the sugar and green tea mixture.

Step 3: Finally, if desired, add the lavender oil and mix evenly. Once the mixture has liquefied, add to a muffin tin or empty ice cube tray. Place in the freezer for 10-15 minutes, or until completely solid. Store in an air-tight container in the fridge until you’re ready to use one.

Add to your shower regime 2-3 times per week, and you’re sure to notice a lasting difference in the look and feel of your skin. Get creative and experiment with new aromas by swapping out the lavender oil with other types of essential oils.
