Cozy nights spent inside with friends and family are the best way to escape the wintry weather. This decadent salted caramel hot chocolate is a great way to embrace the season and help you forget about the cold outside.

Serves 4


  • 4 ½ cups 2% milk
  • 8 ounces milk chocolate, finely chopped
  • 2 ounces dark chocolate, finely chopped
  • ¾ cup caramel sauce, plus more to drizzle
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Whipped cream

Step 1: Add milk to medium pot and warm over medium heat.

Step 2: Once warm, add both types of chocolate, caramel sauce and sea salt. Whisk until the chocolate has melted and small bubbles start to form on the edges. You do not want to bring this to a boil. Then add vanilla extract and whisk to combine.

Step 3: Remove from heat and let cool for 3-4 minutes. Pour into glasses and top with whipped cream and drizzle with caramel sauce.
